DECISION MAKING

Excellence, as well as failure, begins with a simple step of decision making, and the choice of any bring about its resultant consequence. I would like to begin this topic with a simple question.

                                                                   Have you ever visited a farmer who takes his time to clear a
vast land, but plants nothing on the farm?
My little experience in the village made me realize that few days after clearing our lands, new sets of plants begins to grow automatically, whether we plant or not. My dear, we may choose to leave thing to chance but the greatest irony of life is that something will definitely grow on our lands whether we plant or not.
The end result is that the one who chooses to plant something dictates what he want to see on his farm; whereas the one who fails to plant is left to the unfair circumstances of nature. What we have bear in mind is that what happen yesterday is past, and we can do very little or virtually nothing about it. Today is ongoing and you choose to make something out of it. Tomorrow, on the other hand looks uncertain, but it becomes quite secure when we decide and plan what should be done.
Another name given to indecisive people is “fence sitters”. They’re never in, nor our, nether yes nor no always double minded. Psalm 119:113 puts it nicely: I hate double minded men but I love your law. (NIV). James 1.8 elaborates, “A double mind man is unstable in his ways.” They follow when other are going. They usually use words like “we”  or us” instead of I” or “me”. They’ll never want to be ahead nor rally behind, but always within the crowd, hiding their faces behind others.
Beloved, irrespective of our religious affiliation, declaration and concepts of worship, and undecided mind will always become a victim to the recurrent uncertainties of life. One beautiful fact about life is our power of choice and as a matter of fact on one punishes your for deciding to live better or poorly in life. The real case is that both success and failure are whispering into your ears, it depend on who you choose to listen to.
I have always had problems with doctrines that emphasize that some people were born to be poor. It is absolute nonsense. Where would God’s integrity and faithfulness be if the same God who is love and no receptor of persons, choose to bless a little few with wealth and inflict other with pain forever. However, a little slumber, a little sleep….proverbs put it nicely,
God to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise.
It has no commander, no overseer, no ruler, yet it stores its provision in summer and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard when will you get out from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like and armed man. [Proverbs 6:6-11]
In decision making, there are few thing I would like us to consider;
